HOW IT WORKS

From room code to first question

1

Press Play with Friends, type a name and create a room. You get a six-character code.

2

Share the code

Send it to your group. They join from the iPhone app or from any browser at playpinit.com/play.

3

Drop your pins

Everyone gets the same question and the same clock. Land close and answer quickly to score the most.

WHY IT WORKS FOR A GROUP

Nobody has to install anything to join

Phones and computers in one room

One friend on an iPhone, one on a laptop and one in an Android phone's browser can all play the same game at the same time.

The host sets the pace

Choose Slow (30 seconds a question), Normal (15) or Speed (5), then play 10, 20 or 30 questions.

More than capitals

Pick all categories or one of Geography, Cities, Sports, Entertainment, History and Fun Facts. Where was Elon Musk born? Where is Angel Falls? The answer is always a place on the map.

Close counts

You score by distance, so a good guess still earns points. That keeps the game open to people who would never call themselves geography fans.

Made for real get-togethers

PIN IT! began as a game to play with friends on trips. It works just as well at a game night or on a video call with people far away.

Your own questions

With PIN IT! Premium on iPhone, a host can write custom questions and use them in the room. Great for places only your group knows about.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you start a room

How many people can play?

Up to 8 in one room, including the host.

Is it free?

Yes. Rooms are free in the browser and on iPhone. PIN IT! Premium is an optional one-off purchase on iPhone, not a subscription.

No. Anyone can create or join a room from a browser, on a computer or a phone.

Is there an Android app?

Not at the moment, but Android players can use the browser version and join the same rooms as everyone else.
